Itinerary
Early morning pick up from Chengdu hotel (7:30 AM). Drive 1.5 hours to Dujiangyan Panda Base, one of China's largest panda rescue and breeding centers. As a volunteer, you will:
- Clean panda enclosures and prepare bamboo
- Make panda cakes (special nutritional food)
- Feed pandas under staff supervision
- Learn about panda conservation efforts
Lunch at the base cafeteria. Afternoon: observe pandas in their natural habitat, visit the panda hospital and nursery. Receive a volunteer certificate. Return to Chengdu around 5:30 PM.
Note: Volunteers must be aged 12-65, in good health. Closed-toe shoes required.
