Morning visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, see pandas at their most active feeding time. After lunch, drive to Leshan (2 hours). Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, the world's largest stone Buddha (71m), carved into a cliff face. Take a boat cruise for the best panoramic view. Overnight Leshan or Emei.

Accommodation: Leshan/Emei
Morning visit Emei Mountain, one of China's Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains. Take the cable car up to Golden Summit (3,077m), visit the Golden Buddha and enjoy panoramic views (weather permitting). After lunch, drive back to Chengdu (2.5 hours). Tour ends.
